was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, and son.
Born in 1963 to William and Patricia Brady, in Omaha, Nebraska, Brian spent the majority of his
life in Arizona, moving there in 1969. He was one of six siblings, 3 girls and 3 boys,
affectionately known as the “Brady Bunch”. An inquisitive mind from a young age, Brian excelled
in math and science, leading him to attend the University of Arizona for Computer Science.
Thereafter, he had a very successful career as an engineer in the telecommunications industry,
becoming a standout system developer, and a respected and admired leader of others.
Brian, however, would attest that his greatest accomplishment was his family. He found and
married his first great love, Valerie Heard, in 1986, with whom he had two sons, Kyle and Eric.
Preceded in death by Valerie, in 1998, Brian gave his all to his sons; coaching their youth sports
teams, ensuring they pursued their education, and being there when he was needed.
Thankfully, Brian found another great love, Maribeth Winski, and they were married in 2002.
Together they raised the boys and spent many adventurous years traveling the world, exploring
the U.S., enjoying sunrises and sunsets in many destinations, going to sporting events and
concerts, and hiking all around Arizona.
On June 11, 2020, Brian became a grandfather. Of all the roles he had in his life, grandfather
may have been the one he cherished most. As he said to his son, “ Being a grandpa is the best
job in the world”.
Brian will always be remembered as a fun-loving “people” person with the ability to instantly
connect with others and start a conversation with anyone in a room. His light-hearted nature, engaging smile, incredible sense of humor, and his ability to make goofy faces and make you laugh were
priceless. He was also a huge sports fan that enjoyed playing sports and being a spectator. His
favorites included College Football (Arizona Wildcats, Nebraska Cornhuskers, and Wisconsin
Badgers), NFL Football (Arizona Cardinals and Green Bay Packers) and PGA Golf.
Brian is survived by his wife, Maribeth, his two sons, Kyle (Brittany) and Eric, and his
granddaughter, Reese. Also survived by his sisters Kathy (Ken), Maureen, Eileen, and brothers
Bill, and John (Kristen), Uncle Mike (Yolande) and numerous in-laws, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. He will be forever remembered, forever missed in all of their hearts.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate his life at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary with
limited attendance. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Brian’s life may donate to the
American Heart Association.
