Michael was born on November 21, 1958 in New Bedford, MA to Russell Clark and Nancy (Arnold) Clark.
He is survived by his wife Laurie, his daughters Kathryn and Olivia, his father Russell, his sister Susan, his brother Russell, and nieces and nephews Luke, Veronica, Russell, Rebecca, and Sophia.
He received two bachelor’s degrees in Forestry from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1980 and Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 1983. He was a Professional Engineer for 38 years and finished his career at EBI Consulting, where he enjoyed going to work every day. Michael served on the Scituate Planning Board and Conservation Committee and was responsible for spear-heading the Scituate Bike Path. He was an avid fisherman, devoted Christian and had a love of music that he shared with his family. Michael was a proud member of the National Guard, where he made many lifelong friendships and gained valuable life experiences.
Michael’s main purpose in life was to be a loving father, which he excelled at. He was always the reliable ride to soccer for Katy, ran the Scituate High School Soccer boosters for 3 years, drove Olivia to dance and attended the Appalachian Service Project with Katy.
Michael was known for his kindness, compassion, and booming laugh. He was an extraordinary man, with the love of many and will be missed.
A visitation will be held on Sunday February 21, 2021 from 4-8pm at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate. Funeral Services will be private.
