Gregory N. Haver was born on September 15, 1948 in Loma Linda, California and passed away February 13, 2021 in Tualatin, Oregon. Gregory was a retired electrician, but missed his calling as a sports reporter or sports historian. He amazed all that knew him by his recall of Super Bowl wins of any year, dating back to the first Super Bowl ever played. In his spare time, Gregory enjoyed playing pool and was quite good at it. After his retirement, he joined a pool league with his son Mitchell and together they made a formidable duo.
Greg and his wife Leslie spent a great amount of time during his last two years at the Oregon coast with friends and their devoted little dogs crabbing, shopping, and long walks on the beach. When at home, Greg busied himself with projects around the house, and remodeled almost their entire home in the many years that they lived there. His last project was only three weeks prior to his passing - removing the carpet and laying flooring in a large area of the home, and never once complaining. He endured a lot of physical adversity in his lifetime, and truly was the toughest man who ever lived.
Greg was a good friend to many, a loving husband, father, and Papa. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Leslie, daughter Tori, sons Clayton and Mitchell, granddaughter Shayla, and by many nieces and nephews. Greg was preceded in death by his father Gordan Haver, mother Eileen, and brother John. He will be so missed by the people whose lives he touched, and his passing has left so many of us heartbroken.
