Audrey Jean Hosteller, 83, of New Bern, North Carolina went to be with her Lord on Thursday, February 18, 2021. Jean was born on September 21, 1937 in New Bern, North Carolina to the late Lee Parker Hardison and Anna Lee Booth Hardison.
She was Valedictorian of Jasper High School Class of 1955 and was crowned "Miss Jasper High" in both her junior and senior years. During her high school days, Jean enjoyed basketball and played on the "All Conference" team for two years.
Jean was a loving wife and a wonderful mother. For many years she worked as a bank teller at First Citizen's Bank in New Bern. Most of all, Jean loved the Lord and was a member of Cornerstone Assembly of God.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Franklin Delano Hosteller; sons, Franklin Delano Hosteller, Jr. (Dao) and James Parker Hosteller (Joy); daughters, Jeannie Brown (J.W.) and Karan Koch (Dave); sister, Annabelle Weatherington; grandchildren, Adam Brown, Jennifer Sena, David Koch, Tommy Koch, Sidney Hosteller, Parker Hosteller, Sean Hosteller, and Sage Hosteller; and one great grandchild, Jadon Brown.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother, Pete Hardison; three sisters, Margie Stocks, Mary Eva Treece, and Laura Ipock.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on the evening of Tuesday, February 23rd at Cotten Funeral Home. Graveside Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24th at the Lakeside Chapel of Greenleaf Memorial Park with Pastors, John Watford and Jake Korkian.
The family is forever grateful to the staff of Riverpoint Crest Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for the kindness and support extended to them during their time of need.
