Albert Giehler, Jr., 94 of Brewster, MA passed away on February 6, 2021. Albert was born in Holyoke, MA to proud parents Albert, Sr. and Margaret (Rough) Giehler. In addition to Holyoke, Albert was raised in Kearney, NJ where he graduated Kearney High School in 1945. He enlisted into the U.S. Army and proudly served in the 223rd Headquarters Battalion in Germany during WWII. After the war, Albert married Agnes Craney in 1949 and shared their lives together for 46 years until Agnes’ passing in 1995.
Living in Pompton Lakes, NJ for 36 years, Albert worked hard as a draftsman for the Worthington Pump Co. in Harrison, NJ until his retirement in 1988. After retirement, Albert and Agnes moved to Brewster, MA to enjoy the quiet life of Cape Cod. Albert found joy in bird carving and being a faithful Mason.
Albert is predeceased by his parents, his brother William Giehler, his sister-in-law Antoinette, his sister Barbara Ann Duerre, and his brother-in-law Gene. Albert leaves behind many nieces and nephews and lifelong friends. A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Pine Grove Cemetery in Brewster, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Albert’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
