She was born in Mobile, Alabama, September 29, 1947 to the late Dick and Ann Diehnelt.
Sharon received a Philosophy degree from Scripps College in California and later went on to receive a law degree from University of Houston. While in Texas she started a law firm dedicated to labor-employment law, ultimately being admitted and qualified as an attorney and counsellor of the United States Supreme Court. From advocating passionately for her clients in her career as an attorney, to being a needlepoint master, to tearing around Texas in her Chevy Corvettes, she was one fierce, intelligent and independent woman.
She is survived by her brother David Diehnelt of Phoenix, AZ; sister Andrea(Mike) Hall of Charlotte, NC; nephew David(Brittani) Hall and grandnephew Dylan Hall of Mableton, GA; and numerous cousins and friends.
Sharon insisted on no pomp and little circumstance on her passing and we honor her wish. For those wishing to send memorial gifts, please consider Communities In Schools Charlotte-Mecklenburg (www.cischarlotte.org) or Assistance League of Charlotte (www.assistanceleague.org).
