Ruth "Rudy T" Talton

Ruth was a devoted worker at Kentucky Telco – which is now Transend – where she retired after 27 years of service. She also worked at Kroger for 15 years. She graduated from Central high School. Ruth was a die-hard UofL fan, loved to go out to eat and enjoyed her family. There isn’t a person she met that she didn’t help and love!

She was called home on the morning of February 8, 2021. She was greeted at the gates by her mother and father.

Left to cherish Ruth’s memory are her only sister, Camille Carmen Shepherd; daughter, Ronda K. Turner; sons, Ricky Lamont Martin, Bruce Edward Martin ; grandchildren, Natasha Martin, Shanika Jones, Jai Wilson, Ricky Green; great grandchildren, Dashantae Stephens, Jose Anderson, Sam Pillows, Jr., Sierra, Siya and Serenia Morrow; a very special daughter/niece, Alice Brown; a very special friend/nephew, Terry Harris; nieces, Vicky, Janice, Wonda, Diana, Shelia Ann, Bonnie, Margie; nephews, David Wayne “Shotgun”, Damond, Dreco; and a host of loving family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 1:30pm at Evergreen Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday from 11:00am until the time of service at the funeral home.
