Doris Ann Whitworth Barringer, aged 78, of Tunica, MS passed away February 18, in Lake Cormorant, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Barringer. Doris was the owner of Charlie's Camp at Tunica Cut-Off, Tunica, MS.
She leaves behind three daughters, Debbie McGhee (Johnny) of Lake Cormorant, MS, Teresa Holley of Tunica, MS and Ramona Lesley of Memphis, TN, one son, Timothy Barringer (Stephanie), of Tunica, MS, three granddaughters, two grandsons, eight great grandchildren, one brother, Larry Whitworth of AL, two very dear friends, Maurice Boone and Deeanna Graham, both of Tunica, MS, and her beloved granddog, Gabby.
Doris was a lover of the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing at the Cut-Off. She loved working outside with her BobCat and riding mowers, and riding around the lake property on her golf cart with Gabby by her side. She loved teaching her grandchildren and great grandchildren how to fish and drive her golf cart. She was a gifter quilter, an avid reader, a wonderful and giving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
