return. Mothers are angels on earth. They must be everything to everybody. Gentle woman, peaceful

dove, our mother. Slow to anger, humble, meek, unselfish nature, loving mother and faithful wife.

Because of your love we learned to love and trust in the world. You taught us to keep our family

together, to respect others, and love each other. It was your love and prayers that sustained us when

things went wrong in our lives. You never gave up on us. You always accepted and understood our short

comings and selfishness.

When we didn’t say, “I love you” enough, you knew we did. You tolerated our moods, consoled our

heart breaks and disappointments. Thank you!

She loved children. Her grandchildren, were the loves of her life and she made it known. With her they

were safe, loved, and would be nurtured. That love was multiplied with her great and great-great

grandchildren. She loved to give them cariños.

In marriage through difficulties, hardships and suffering she was a faithful wife. There were hard times

financially but she never asked for more than she needed. With her children at her side she felt like the

richest woman in the world. She was a homemaker, she had endless patience and love for us. She was

always home when we got there after a busy day at school. We remember the aroma of homemade

tortillas, chorizo, potatoes and coffee in the mornings. Sometimes atole, avena, or cream of wheat with

oven toasted French bread with butter. She made the best empanadas and panecitos, deep fried in oil

like a donut. The recipes were her own creations. Every time we came home we would go straight to the

stove and pick up the lids of the pots to see what she prepared. Every time we needed her, she was

always there without hesitation. She always made time for us through every stage in our lives. No

matter how bad things got for her she always pulled through every challenge. We were fed, cared for

and protected. Thank you!

Thank you mother for touching us so deeply with the blessing of your love. You are the most important

person in our life. Because of you we will have a richer life of love and respect.

You will be in our hearts forever.
