On Thursday February 18th, at 5pm, Cheston Hearron left this life, at the age of 44, and entered the presence of Jesus. Cheston Ritch Hearron was born with Down Syndrome on November 8, 1976 in Shreveport to Ed and Lucy Hearron.
Cheston had an amazing ability to recall people’s names. He displayed a magnetic personality that instantly captured one’s attention causing an immediate connection. He possessed a comical wit unmatched by anyone else I’ve known. The timing of his one liners left us laughing uncontrollably. Cheston was also a skilled artist. DaVinci used a paintbrush but Cheston used a magna-doodle. He drew portraits of friends and family that put a smile on our faces. Cheston had an unconditional love that truly captured who he was. Cheston is best known for his hugs. His hugs were genuine and long. He also had a radar that sensed anyone who needed a hug. He always saw the best in every situation. The world is a much better place because of Cheston Ritch Hearron.
Cheston was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents Reverend & Mrs. JR Hearron and Mr. & Mrs. Louie Mitchell Joiner. He is survived by his parents Ed and Lucy Hearron, his two brothers, Chan and wife April, Chris and wife Sandy, nieces; Haley, Landry and Harper, nephews; Caden and Hutson, Uncles; James Hearron, “Mickey” Joiner and wife Aunt Cynthia Joiner and numerous cousins who loved him like a brother.
Honoring Cheston as pallbearers will be Caden Hearron, Hutson Hearron, Mitch Joiner, Michael Joiner, Hunter Self and Ken Leonard.
The Hearrons would like to thank the staff of Holy Angels, The Carpenter House, and Dr. Michelle Self for their care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, the Hearron family suggests memorials be made in Cheston’s name, to Holy Angels 10450 Ellerbe Road Shreveport, Louisiana 71106
