Loving wife of the late Jean J. Comeau, she will be deeply missed by her children, Michelle (Stefan), Lisette (James), Monique (Serge), Ronald (Alice), Joël and Jean-Louis and her beloved grandchildren Emma, Justin, Lily, Isabelle and Malaika.
She was a sweet and loving mother who, after having raised her family of six, channelled her positive energy, fashion flair and social graces into a long and successful career as a real estate agent for Royal Lepage. Her spirit, humour, beautiful attitude and caring nature served her well in her profession and her home life. Though petite in stature, she will be remembered by her loved ones for her strength of character.
Raised in a large and loving family of 14 children, Aurise has gone to join her sisters, Annette, Cécile, Germaine, Denise, Hortense, Alice, Sr. Irène and Anita and her brothers Norbert, Louis and Jean. She is survived by her sisters Aline Neveux and Marcelle Robidoux and her sisters-in-law Sr. Aline Comeau, Laurette Joyal, Gisèle Comeau and Lorraine Forest. She will be fondly remembered by her wonderful franco-manitoban family and many nieces and nephews who share her heritage and undeniable “joie de vivre”.
It is with sincere gratitude that the family wishes to thank the staff, nurses and caregivers at The Waterford Retirement Community and the Champlain LHIN team for their thoughtful and compassionate care. It was a great comfort to the family to see our mother surrounded by such love, laughter and kindness in her final days.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Aurise`s memory to the Bruyère Foundation or a charity of your choice. Condolences and sharing memories can be left at mcevoy-shields.com
