Gregory Marlin Hutchison was born January 22, 1965, to the union of Marlin and Carol (Finney) Hutchison in Lancaster, California. He moved to Madera, California with his family while still a young child. Gregory graduated from Madera High School in June of 1983, and a few months later he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served onboard the USS Carl Vinson as a Boatswains Mate Petty Officer Third Class for four years and was Honorably discharged on November 1987. After being discharged from the Navy, he returned home to Madera, California and began working for their family business H&H Welding, doing what he loved to do welding. He worked at H&H Welding for nearly a decade.
In 1988 while in Fresno, California he met his future wife Leonora Hutchison, and he became an instant dad to her four children Ernest White, Joshua White, Korey White, and Tekoa (White) Barajas.
On January 12,1994 Gregory and Leonora Hutchison wed in Jamaica.
Gregory was a firm believer in the Lord and enjoyed going to church. For many years he was a member of Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where he was baptized and became a Deacon. In 2014, he found a forever home at the Second Missionary Baptist Church.
He was called to spend eternity with the Lord on Thursday February 18, 2021 in Madera, California. He leaves to cherish his memory:
