passed away at the age of 93.
Edward was born on February 3rd , 1928 in Manhasset, Long Island, New York
A Bronze Star recipient, Edward held the Rank of Sergeant First Class, Fortieth
Infantry Division of the United States Army during the Korean War Conflict.
On July 31st, 1954 he married Helen Mary Yokshas
They raised three sons and one daughter, Richard (Kannikar), Edward, Thomas
(Alvina), and Heather. He later went on to enjoy three grandchildren, David Yaron, Daniel Yaron, and Emily Ravinsky.
Edward made his career with Gertz Dept. Stores as a furniture inspector, and his Union's Shop Steward. In his retirement he was in charge of running the mailroom for the appliance warranty dept. of LSY Companies.
Edward was a landscaper, avid gardener, and enjoyed his 1,000 piece puzzles, especially those of painter Thomas Kincaid.
Edward is preceded in death by his parents Peter and Mary Ravinsky, brother Peter, sister Dorothy Kovalesky.
He is survived by his wife Helen of 66 years, his children, grandchildren, and many nieces, and nephews.
