Marilyn was a very social, active person who was deeply involved in Christian Ministry, visiting shut-ins, singing to encourage them, and taking meals to them. She enjoyed teaching the nursery class (0-2 years old) for 30 years. She has taught second generation children. Many of these children grew up to be preachers and missionaries and active members of a local congregation. She was considered the church hugger. She loved people especially children. Marilyn will be forever loved and deeply missed by those she leaves behind. Marilyn was an avid sports person; she started pitching softball at 5 years old in 1st grade and played until 55 years old. She was also great at tennis, bowling, and ping pong, winning most of her matches with men or women. She taught many nephews how to play ping pong when they were barely able to see above the table. By the time they were teenagers they then strived to beat Aunt Marilyn, so the competition was on at the annual family Christmas party.
