Eddy graduated from Ortanez College, School of Nursing in Quezon City, Philippines and worked as a orthopedic nurse in both the Philippines and the Middle East. She was married to Emiliano Acevedo Salido in 1969 and together they had three beautiful children.
She had a passion for singing, dancing and entertaining any guests or visitors that walked through the door. Eddy loved to pamper her grandchildren, buy them presents, and take them out to eat. She would treat them to sweets and snacks from the little store she owned. She loved to give to others and help whenever she could, they would call her "the coolest and prettiest auntie".
In 2017, she moved to Texas to be closer to her daughter and her family. Eddy would visit with friends at the McKinney Senior center twice a week and gather for lunch. She loved to worship at Renewal Baptist Church in Plano, TX and was determined to go in person at least once a month even during times of social distancing. She loved to socialize and tell vivid stories about her work in the Middle East.
Eddy is preceded in death by her husband, Emiliano Acevedo Salido and her brothers, Rolando Rana Sr. and Apolonio Rana Sr.
She was survived by her children, Paolo Lyzandro Salido (Mary Rose); Emiliano Lowell Salido (Olivia), Liza May Ramos (Ronnie); sister, Elsa Isagunde; grandchildren, Mark Adrian, Mikaela Gabrielle, Paolo Miguel, Karol Josef, Karlos Mikael, Carlo Rafael; and her beloved dog Keekay.
