Born in Sterling Heights to the late Herman and Olga Redlawski. Ethel worked in the cafeteria at General Motors until retirement. After retirement as a devoted churchgoer, she spent many years as the Secretary at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Kentucky until returning back to Michigan. Ethel had a number of hobbies she took up in her free time like fishing, watching baseball, or talking on the phone to her friends for hours. She was a talented cook, which often made her the host for parties and the holidays. In the summer Ethel would can all of the produce in season; she could can just about anything: tomatoes, cucumbers, pears, ect.. Ethel had a talent for growing flowers like no one else. Her garden would be full of flowers that few others could keep living like African Violets. Ethel would tell everyone that in her time living in Kentucky she brought back the blue bird population because she would feed the birds so much that the blue birds and hummingbirds would flock to her yard and still do. An independent-minded woman with a sharp wit to match, Ethel will be missed by the family and friends who survive her.
