He loved spending his time watching old black and white movies, going to the flea market and spending time with family. He loved going to Mexico to see his brothers and sisters. He loved meeting random people everywhere and just sitting and having a conversation. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to help someone. He was stubborn, grumpy and always knew what was right and wrong but there is nothing we would change about him. It was always nice to sit there and listen to his adventures from the past, he lived an exciting life.
Efren was preceded in death by his parents, Salvador Gutierrez Romo and Francisca Martin Jimenez; daughter, Angelica Gutierrez; and brothers, Ismael Gutierrez & Servando Gutierrez. Efren is survived by his loving wife, Genoveva Gutierrez; five children: Fernando Gutierrez, Sonia Gutierrez-Norris, Ricardo Gutierrez, Guadalupe Hernandez-Pasillas, and Francisca Gutierrez-Martinez; his granddaughter whom he was raising as his own, Reyna Gutierrez-Hernandez; siblings: Salvador Gutierrez, Jesus Gutierrez, Romelia Gutierrez, and Efren Gutierrez in Jalisco, Mexico; sisters, Elvia Gutierrez in California and Delfina Gutierrez in Colorado; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and loving friends and family.
If you had the privilege of knowing this man it was a blessing. He will be missed by many and never forgotten.
