Carrie Luane (Wilson) Mattingly, a woman who made an impression on everyone she met, entered into Heaven on Monday, March 22, 2021. She was born to Oscar and Mary Wilson on April 7, 1946, in Iberia, Missouri and cherished being the younger sibling to Larry (Pat) Wilson and older to Sue Foulk and Roger Wilson. Time in her youth was spent alongside her family as they camped, fished, and boated and it is those times, creating memories, that made an impact of how important family was.
Dave, her husband of 43 years, as well as their children, Traci (Ron) Webb, Gina (Jack) Hoyle, Crystal (Trex) Anderson, Shelly (Jim) Fields and Brian (Samantha) Mattingly, and any number of their 21 grand and 13 greatgrandchildren, created the same kind of memories on their travels to destinations that included Carrie’s type of relaxation: the sun, the sand, and the water. She had a love of clothes and shoes, as well as collected Longaberger baskets and angels, yet she was the angel that collected the hearts of those around her and the one her family will always remember her as their angel here on Earth. May she be in complete freedom.
Preceded by her parents, Carrie leaves a legacy to carry forward with her husband, children, grand and great-grandchildren as well as her many family and friends.
A Celebration of Life service, with committal following, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 2, 2021 at Lakeview Funeral Home and Cemetery 12100 E. 13th Street N. Wichita, KS 67206.
