James Larry Roberts

Larry Roberts, age 73 of Dunn, died on Saturday Evening, March 27, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.

Larry was born on April 30, 1947 in Harnett County the son of the late James Lee Roberts and Dorothy Mae Norris Roberts and is preceded in death by sons, Baby Roberts and James Lewis Roberts.

Larry was the owner and operator of Roberts Body Shop and Roberts Used Cars and Parts for over 50 years. He was a member of Lee’s Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church where he was very active. He was a Deacon, Superintendent of Sunday School and a member of Men’s Brotherhood.

He enjoyed working and loved his church. He loved Nascar and enjoyed going camping to the mountains.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Lee’s Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Beasley and Rev. Preston Heath officiating. Burial will follow Devotional Gardens Cemetery.

He is survived by: His Wife of 55 Years: Linda Carroll Roberts of the home.

Son: Patrick Roberts & (wife) Tonya of Dunn, NC

Daughter-in-Law: Denise McLamb Roberts of Erwin, NC.

Grandchildren: Macy Roberts, Jonathan Roberts & Brittany, Kaitlin Roberts & Aaron, Emma Roberts and Joshua Roberts.

Great Grandchildren: Camden and Everleigh

The family will be receiving friends Tuesday, March 30, 2021 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home in Dunn, N.C.
