Dudley was a life-long resident of Vinton and was a 1974 graduate of Vinton High School. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 6103, LHSAA Football Association, and the local Millwright Union. He worked for Westlake Chemical, PE&O as a Maintenance Superintendent for 24 years. Dudley loved to hunt duck, deer, and alligator. He enjoyed being in the marsh and boat riding. Some of his favorite past times was welding and working on motors, popping fireworks and starting HUGE bon-fires! Dudley was a loyal LSU Tigers and Pittsburg Steelers fan. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, especially all of the fun times spent together (in the shop).
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 45 years, Gwen Breaux LeJuhn of Vinton; one daughter, Kristi Braquet and husband Tommy; one son, Cody LeJuhn Sr. and wife Myrissa all of Vinton; eight grandchildren, Dustin Braquet and fiancé Kayla Turner, Kaitlyn, Kylie, and Chris Braquet, Beonca Harvey, Cody Jr and Conner LeJuhn, and Nevaeh Erdem; one great-grandson Weston Braquet and a great-granddaughter on the way; his sister, Marie Baus of Sulphur; mother-in-law, Janet “MawMaw” Breaux; in-laws, Rhonda Guidry, Charlotte "Chako" Williams, Jane Parish, Henry "Coon" Breaux Jr.; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Logan Riley LeJuhn; sisters, Hazel Loftin and Linda Elliott.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2021 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Carlos Garcia will officiate. Visitation is from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2021 in Hixson Vinton Funeral Home with a Rosary service at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, March 31 from 10 a.m. in the funeral home until time to leave for Mass. Interment will follow in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly, LA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dudley’s memory can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1421 Industrial St., Vinton, LA 70668.
