Paul Michael Porter, 49, of Longmont, Co, passed away March 29, 2021 with his family by his side. He was born May 23, 1971 in Greeley, Colorado. Paul graduated from Greeley Central High School in 1989.
He is survived by his mother, Deb; father, Roger; his son Michael and daughter McKenzie; a step-brother, Shawn; his fiancé, Kerry Dukarski; two uncles, Lee Porter and Dan Smith; one aunt, Diana Adams (husband Gary); and three cousins, Tammy Davidson, Glen Adams, and Leann Manjarrez.
Paul served in the Navy from 1989 to 1993 on the USS O’Brien. During this time, the O’Brien conducted operations in the Eastern Pacific Ocean in support of national interests, in the Middle Pacific Ocean in support of Chief of Naval Operations testing, and in the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Desert Storm.
He most recently retired as Operations Manager for a restoration company.
Paul was well known for his quick wit and his big heart always willing to help others. His love was for his family and his passion was riding his Harley and taking his Jeep off road; as well as golf and fly fishing. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
A funeral service will be held Friday, April 9, 10 a.m. at Foundations Church, 1380 Denver Avenue, Loveland, Co.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
