Anna “Kitty” Thomas went home to the Lord March 31, 2021. She was predeceased by her husband and forever love, Gabriel Thomas, in 1993. Kitty was born on February 12, 1932 to her parents, Peter and Stamatia Fournaris. She was raised in Corona, Queens, NY. She grew up with her brother, Harry Fournaris (Stella), and her sister, Evelyn Riboni (Frank), who both predeceased Kitty, and her wonderful cousins, aunts, and uncles. She attended Public School 19, Junior School 16, and Washington Irving high school. She worked for Singer Sewing Machine and Macy’s Department Store in New York City. She met and married Gabriel Thomas and spent 40 years together until his death in 1993. Kitty was a devoted mother to her only child, daughter Patti Tsaousis, and son-in-law, Norm. Kitty was also loved by her numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and two Godsons and their spouses. She was always happy to see them when they came to visit, she loved her family. She was always smiling, fun to be with, had a sharp wit and was a great conversationalist. Kitty made us laugh. In 2002, she left Jackson Heights, Queens, and she moved to South Pasadena and enjoyed being a “Golden Girl.” She loved the time she spent with her Florida family and had 19 years of sunny skies and beautiful sunsets. She spent her final months at Palm Garden of Largo where she was very well cared for and loved. Their support and devotion was outstanding and very much appreciated.
A visitation will be held Monday, April 5, 2021, from 4 to 8pm at Beach Memorial Chapel, 301 Corey Ave, St Pete Beach, FL 33706.
