On March 30, 2021, Margaret Viola Webb Santoro finally joined Anthony Leone Santoro in eternal love and joy. Margaret was born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 31, 1923 to Margaret and James Webb. The family moved to Houston, Texas in 1937 where she attended and graduated from San Jacinto High School.
Margaret met Tony in 1939 and the couple were never parted, except when Tony served during WWII in the US Army Air Corps. During the war, Margaret took over management of several Interstate Movie Theaters. When the couple started a family, Margaret ceased working to devote her time and energies to her children, Chesley Krohn, John Santoro, and Anthony II.
She loved art, literature, theatre and found a way to work at home as a costume designer for several Houston theaters including Theater Incorporated, Houston Theater Center and Houston Allegro Ballet Company. After her children graduated from high school, Margaret studied accounting and became business manager for Kenleys West Dive Shop.
She and Tony were very active in the lives of their grandchildren, Aaron, Stuart, April, Adam, Renata, Julia, and Anthony III and their lives were enriched as a result. She set high standards for all the family with her loving nature, her availability to all in need, her strong work ethic, and her solid, common sense.
She reveled in her ten great-grandchildren, Amber, Ashley, Dylan, Hayden, Preston, Lilliana, Madeline, Eli, Alexandra and James, who, along with all who were blessed with knowing her, will miss her.
A graveside service will take place at the VA National Cemetery at 10:00 AM on
