five children, peacefully passed surrounded by her loving family.
A native of Lafitte, Louisiana, Ms. Flossie was born on August 31,1923 in Bayou Beouf, Louisiana to
Gustave and Regina (Walker) Prestenbach. She was an employee of Fisher Middle/High School
for 37 years as the Cafeteria Manager and owned a local sweet shop across from the school.
Her biggest passion in life was family. She loved cooking and feeding the people she loved
most.
Ms. Flossie was preceded in death by her father, Gustave, her mother, Regina, her child Rudy Wildey, her daughter Frances Champagne, and her twelve siblings. She is survived by her children,
Stephen “Dee” Wildey III, Douglas Wildey (Patricia, deceased), and Stephanie Kuhn (Bruce),
her son-in-law Hartwell Champagne Sr., her grandchildren Monique Stotts (Jon), Hartwell
Champagne Jr., Tobias Champagne (Darnelle), Douglas Wildey Jr., Stacey Wildey, Steven Wildey,
Natalie Francois (Steve), Bruce Kuhn Jr. (Tiffany), Jeneá Deshotel (Brian), her great grandchildren,
Emily and Brett Francois, Nicholas and Jade Cathey, Bailly, Wildey, and Frank Kuhn,
and Noelle and Emma Deshotel. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, friends,
and other family members.
Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral Mass for Flossie on Wednesday, April 7th, 2021 at 12:00PM at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lafitte, Louisiana. A Visitation will begin at 9:00AM until Mass time. Interment will follow at St. Pius X Cemetery in Crown Point, Louisiana.
