Kathleen Summers Eastham was born April 26th, 1935, in El Dorado, Kansas, to parents Herbert and Alma Summers. Kathleen entered into rest April 1st,2021 in Forney, Texas. Kathleen was a loving and devoted wife to her husband William Eastham, they were married on May 25th, 1951. They shared sixty-one wonderful years together. Kathleen was not only a caring wife; she was also a loving mother to their son Timothy. During Kathleen’s early years she worked for a dry cleaning service and even helped train horses while living in Kansas. Soon after moving to Texas she took her passion of working with animals and became a Veterinarian Assistant. In the 70’s she successfully raised, trained, and showed Wire haired Fox Terriers. Kathleen would take in any animal that would show up on her doorstep. In her spare time, she loved to go and play a good game of Golf when the weather was nice. She was a very sweet soft spoken woman but also very stern when she needed to be. Kathleen loved to dress up, everything she wore was always matching when you saw her out and about. She was very committed to her woman’s group “super chicks” at First Baptist Church in Mabank.
Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Alma Summers; husband, William Eastham; son, Timothy Eastham; brother, Harold Summers; sisters, Geraldine Summers, Margene Summers. She was survived by grandson Alexander Eastham, nieces; Glenda Mosier, Sharron Wilcox, Colleene Collier, Laci Summers; nephews, Monte Bradley, Tyson Summers; daughter-in-law Maria Summers. She also leaves behind many great nieces and nephews along with lifelong friends.
