Morton - Doris Lee McDuff, 89, of Morton, formerly of Peoria, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Washington Senior Living. She was born on June 9, 1931, a daughter of William P. and A. Marie (Duttarer) Backes. She married Roland McDuff on May 22, 1948 in Eureka. He survives.
Also surviving is her daughter, Becky Watts of Morton; four grandchildren, Ken (Rachel) Smith of Peoria, Colleen (Dave) Ryan of Peoria, Sean Watts of Morton, and Tatiana Watts of Peoria; and four great-grandchildren, Mark and Megan Ryan and Aidan and Addison Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, June Graham and Willa "Billie" Whitworth.
Doris had attended Brown's Business College in Peoria. She last worked as the secretary for the State of Illinois Guardianship and Advocacy Commission for 11 years, retiring in 1994. She previously worked in the offices of both Dr. Gorsuch and Dr. Richardson for many years. Doris attended Eastside Bible Church in Morton.
Doris's funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Pastor Steve Weber will officiate. Her visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., also on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
