Gail Darlene Ingalls, 83, of Olathe, Kansas passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, April 2, 2021. She will forever be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to everyone she knew.
Gail was born on May 23, 1937 in Tacoma, Washington to Clarence L. and Zora (Morrissette) White. She attended and graduated from Point Loma High School in San Diego, California. She married the love of her life James L. Ingalls Sr. on September 26th 1958. Together they raised their four children Jackie, James Jr. Jared and Janice in Olathe. She worked as a secretary for G.E. Credit Services. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cross stitching. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. Nothing gave her more pleasure in life than the times she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed.
Gail is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Zora White, loving husband of 29 years James L. Ingalls Sr. who passed away on February 7, 1987 and brother-in-law Walter Grey. She is survived by her four children, Jacquelyn G. Roanhaus and her husband Dell of Indianapolis, Indiana, James L., Ingalls Jr. and his wife Kim of Eudora, Kansas, Janice A. Sparks and her husband August of Olathe, Kansas, and Jared W. Ingalls and his wife Christy of Gardner, Kansas. Left behind to cherish her memory are her nine grandchildren: Sara Cook, Rachael Cook, Hanna Cook, James Ingalls the 3rd his wife Ashley, Kayla Ingalls, Victoria Mordhorst, her husband Brent, Jackson Ingalls, Noah Ingalls, and Collin Ingalls. and three great grandchildren: Avery Ingalls, Zora Ingalls, and Bjorn Bassett. Gail also leaves behind her sister Beverly Grey of Arizona and her brother Wayne White of California.
Gail will be cremated according to her wishes. A “Celebration of Life” will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas. A private family inurnment will take place on Monday, April 12th in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
