On July 3, 1953 he was united in marriage to his loving wife of 67 years, Nina A. Milliron Bochese.
Pete was a Mason Contractor by trade, who shared his love for masonry with both of his sons. Pete served as a Corporal in the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 4 and VFW Post 594.
Second to loving his wife and children, Pete was an avid bocce player, horseshoe player, fisherman, and gardener. Pete also had a love for bowling that lasted for more than 70 years. At the age of 83, Pete bowled his first and only perfect 300 game. He was inducted into the Eastern Connecticut Bowling Association’s Hall of Fame as well as the Connecticut Horseshoe Pitchers Association’s Hall of Fame. Pete was an honorary member of the East Great Plain Fire House.
He leaves behind his two sons, Peter "Doug" Bochese of Norwich, Jeffrey Bochese and his wife Robin of Preston; also, four grandchildren Jonathan Bochese, Derek Bochese, Jake Bochese, and Brooke Bochese; one sister Mary Vittone of Pennsylvania; along with ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Enoch Bochese and Clemente Bochese.
There are no calling hours. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
