Paul Edward Burk, age 91, passed away April 3, 2021. Paul was born September 8, 1929 in Round Rock, Texas to Oscar and Edna (Anderson) Burk. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Paul worked for Dills Charleston, Inc. for over 40 years. He married Gloria Matoska in 1954. They were longtime active members and volunteers at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Austin. Paul was also an active member of the American Legion. He loved the outdoors and spent countless hours tending to his beautifully manicured yard and flower beds. Paul’s greatest joy, however, was spending time with his family.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Edna Burk; loving wife, Gloria Burk; and brother, Marvin Burk. Those left to cherish his memory include his son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Cath Burk of Round Rock; daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann and Eric Hodgson of Pflugerville; grandchildren, Mason Burk (Jenni), Chase Burk (Holly), Brad Hodgson and Brandy Hodgson (Justin); great grandchildren, Brayden Burk, Hunter Hodgson, Draven Davis, Dakota Davis and Lily Burk; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chase Burk, Brad Hodgson, Morris Burk, Brandon Dickinson, Mike Matoska and Mark Matoska.
