In loving memory of Donald Wallace Moses, born December 9th, 1938 in Monroe, Louisania to Willie Otis "Bo" Moses and Rachel Melba Butler. Donald went to be with the Lord early on the morning of April 3rd, 2021. He met and married the love of his life, Betty June Moses, in Dallas, Texas on November 8th, 1968. Donald was in the United States Air Force from 1956-1962. For a brief time he played golf for the Air Force and even won a car in Hawaii. Following his military career, he started working for the United States Postal Service where he quickly moved up into management and eventually becoming Postmaster of Dallas and later District Manager over the state of Oklahoma.
Donald will be remembered to us by the way he loved. He never missed an opportunity to be with his family. He was the kind of dad or grandpa that never missed a sporting event, program, or birthday party. His proudest moments were those sharing time with his grandkids. Donald was known for his contagious smile and his dapper appearance, making anything look good, and his finished touch was always a hat.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Bo and Rachel Moses, and his brothers, Jerry Moses and James Miller. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Betty Moses, his brother Bobby Moses and wife Pat Moses, his sisters Pat Leslie and Maurice Champney with her husband Ron. His sons Tony Moses, Gary Moses with his wife Karla Moses, Tim Moses with his wife Jenifer Moses. His daughter, Tiffany Rachel Rankin with her husband James Rankin. Grandchildren including Donnie Moses, Kirk Giles, Darcy Moses, Scotty Moses with his wife Brandi Moses, Nicholas Rankin, Noah Rankin, Nolan Rankin, Kira Rankin and Kari Moses and one very special great grandson, Brantlee Moses. He was also blessed with numerous Nieces, Nephews and a tribe of neighbors he adored. His celebration of life will start with a viewing on Friday evening from 6-8 at Primrose in Norman, Oklahoma and a ceremony at 10am on Saturday.
