Priscilla R. Vardo

Born in Connecticut, a daughter of the late Wilfred and Melina (Thibodeau) Dessert she lived most of her life in New Bedford and 26 years in Haines City, FL. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church and St. Lawrence Martyr Church in New Bedford and St. Anne’s Church in Haines City, FL.

Mrs. Vardo worked as a winder at Acushnet Company until her retirement in 1979. Priscilla was a very talented artist and she enjoyed painting and pottery. She was also an incredibly huge fan of the Red Sox and coffee ice cream.

She is survived by a son, Charles “Chuck” Vardo of Lauderhill, FL; a sister, Yvette Galipeau; four grandchildren, Christopher Vardo and his wife Kristine of Acushnet, Joycelyn Vardo and her husband Robert Ketchum of Madbury, NH, Anne Vardo-Zalik and her husband Nathan of Lewisberry, PA, and Jonathan Vardo and his wife Sandra of Marion; six great grandchildren, Michael Vardo, Timothy Ketchum, Scott Vardo, Rachel Zalik, Jameson Vardo, and Joseph Vardo; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Alfred Dessert, Roland Dessert, Wilfred Dessert, Rita Genereux, Antoinette Borsclair, Pauline Grady, Irene Rock, and Florence Legasse.
