At his request and because he said no “hoopla” was to be held, a small private family service will be conducted at a later date.
Pete was born March 14,1953 in Pasadena, Calif., and was one of three sons to Arnold and Eria Lindberg.
After graduating from high school in Huntington Beach California, he relocated to the Orlando area with his family to work at Disney and continue his education at the University of Central Florida. He worked with multiple power companies during his career and retired from his position as the Director of Transmission and Distribution for the City of Vero Beach.
Pete is survived by his wife Cathleen, his son David Lindberg of Coral Springs Florida, his daughter and son-in-law, Sara and Andrew Lumbert, and his two grandson’s, Easton and Bryce Lumbert, of Groveland Florida.
Pete was an outdoor sports enthusiast, enjoying hunting and fishing and was an member of the Masonic Lodge of Vero Beach.
For those of you who knew Pete, he maintained his sense of humor and his love and loyalty to his family and friends to the end. Known as Gramps to his grand children, both boys know he has gained his wings and will be looking down upon them, making sure they are safe and happy throughout their lives.
