Dorothy “Dottie” Lozon, age 90, of Clinton Township, Michigan, passed away on April 4, 2021. She was the beloved mother of David (Vivian) Lozon of Sterling Heights, MI, Thomas (Christine) Lozon of Saint Clair Shores, MI, and Debbi Lozon of San Diego, CA. Cherished grandmother of Elizabeth, Melissa, and Jonathan “JT”. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald "Jerry" Lozon.
Dottie was born on March 4, 1931 in Portage, Pennsylvania, to parents Louis and Sophia Brunette, one of nine children. As a young woman, Dottie moved to Detroit, Michigan on her own, ready to make her way in the world. An independent, strong woman, she lived in Detroit working on making a life for herself for almost 4 months before local relatives knew she was living in the area. True to those of her generation, Dottie always faced new things head on and was never afraid to try or learn something new. She worked at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East for many years. Those who knew Dottie say she was smart and funny, fashionable and independent. She loved to dress well for an occasion, making sure that she would never wear the same dangling earrings two times in a row. Dottie was greatly loved, and will be deeply missed by those who knew her.
Services are being held privately by the family. Final resting place Cadillac Memorial Gardens East. Arrangements under the care of Resurrection Funeral Home in Clinton Township, Michigan.
