Alma Jean White, or “Nenaw” as she was known to loved ones, was born on May 21, 1935 in Satin, Texas to Edwin and Winnie Tull. She peacefully entered eternal rest with her family by her side on Tuesday April 6, 2021. Visitation prior to service will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, April 15. Service will start at 1p.m. at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Marlin, Texas.
Jean was the most generous, selfless, and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her close family always called her their angel on earth. She truly cared about others more than herself, even during her final moments here with us.
She loved cooking with her family, sharing recipes, and getting together for meals. Her traditional cherry cheesecake was everyone’s favorite, it never lasted more than a day, especially around her grandkids. Her dedication to the Dallas Cowboys was everything you could imagine a true Cowboys fan would be.
She is survived by her son Bruce White and wife Susan; daughter Vikki White; granddaughter Holli Graves and husband Chris; granddaughter Cheyenne Rouse; grandsons Michael White, Jonathan White, and Andrew White; great-grandchildren Kaylea Graves, Wesley Graves, Joseph Graves and Emmalynn Forbes; brother George Tull and wife Kim; niece Kathy Tull and nephews Stuart Tull, Stanley Tull and Steve Tull.
God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So, He put his arms around you and whispered, “Come unto Me” With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away, and though we loved you dearly we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating; hard working hands at rest, God broke our heart to prove to us He only takes the best.
