It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lynne Cosgrove at the age of 59. She will be greatly missed by her mother Diane, her sister Anne (John), her brother Brian (Sylvie) and her 4 nieces and nephews, Shawn, Julie, Thomas and Beatrice. Lynne was born in Montreal area and spent her childhood there before moving to Vancouver to attend UBC where she obtained her Bachelor of Education degree. Lynne later went on to obtain her Masters degree from the University of San Diego, specializing in counselling. Lynne fell in love with Vancouver while studying there and made it her permanent home. Lynne had a long career of over 30 years with the Vancouver School Board. She began her career as a French immersion teacher and later became a senior school counselor. Lynne loved her students and was fully dedicated to her work. She was especially devoted to helping students in crisis and served on her district’s critical incident team. In her spare time Lynne loved to travel the world and was an avid photographer, frequently surprising friends and family with wonderful photographs, many of which hang on our walls at home. Lynne was kind, soft spoken and extremely loyal to her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
