She was an avid reader, especially romance novels. Lena loved to tend to her flower garden, taking special care of her roses. She was a faithful woman who made sure to pray the Rosary every night before bed. Lena treasured her time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family will miss their Sunday dinner with her the most. Lena was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who is already deeply missed by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sylvia Cormier, Theresa Trahan, and Janet Pultz; sons, Steve Trahan, Vernon Trahan; sisters, Anna Mae Pickett, and Gladys Gary; brother, Joseph Granger; 5 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Lena is preceded in death by her adoring husband, Cleveland Joseph Tahan; son, Terry Trahan; sisters, Agnas Guidry,Lucille Pickett, and Sodonya Deshotel; brother, Paul Granger,and Dudley Granger; and her parents, Gladu and Felicia Granger.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from the chapel of Hixson Funeral Home, Welsh, on Friday, April 16, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service, led by Bro. Dwayne Daigle, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lacassine Cemetery.
