Patricia “Pat” Ann (Hebbeln) Dietz, 77, of Davenport, IA, passed away peacefully early in the morning of April 18, 2021, at the Kahl Home. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 22, at Weerts Funeral Home in Davenport. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 22, also at the Weerts Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park. She was born October 6, 1943 to Virginia “Gin” and Donald “Don” Hebbeln in Davenport. She met her husband Dale Dietz at Smart Immediate School where they became life-long sweethearts, graduating together from Davenport West. They were married on October 17, 1964.Pat raised her children in neighborhoods full of friends who were much like family. She returned to work outside the home and had a long career with United Insurance Counselors, serving many people in our community with great care and respect.Pat enjoyed many hours with cherished friends and family socializing, playing games, and supporting her grandchildren’s many sports and music events. She was an exemplary friend to many with special talents for listening, laughing, and loving graciously.Those who remain to carry forward Pat’s love include her husband, Dale Dietz of Davenport; son Jeff (Jan) of Davenport, daughter Tracy Grimes (Rick) of Park View; and grandchildren: Melinda Dietz, Ricky Grimes, and Cory Grimes; as well as her dear friend from early childhood, Kathy Sheppard. She was preceded in death by her parents.
