As per Randy's wishes, cremation rites were accorded. There will be no services at this time; inurnment will be in East Moline, IL at a later date.
Randy was born in Moline, IL on January 17th, 1957. He was the son of Joseph Metternick and Lorraine (Van Gampleare) Tracy.
Randy graduated from Moline Sr. High school in 1975. He retired fiorn John Deere & Company. Randy volunteered at the QCAWC and was a bell ringer for the Salvation Army.
Randy enjoyed crossword puzzles and was great at Jeopardy- He was a die hard "Days of Our Lives" fan since the 70's and was a 2 time bowling champ and a 2 time YMCA H.O. gauge slot car champ. Randy was a lifelong and suffering fan of "Da Bears," NY Yankees, and Notre Dame Football. He originated "Hot Dog Day" to start the baseball season. He will be remembered for his daily funny posts on social media, his love of The Beatles, and his sense of humor. Randy could make anyone laugh and would do anything to help a friend.
Survivors include his children: Renee (Kyle) Chee-Metternick, Normal, Alyssa (Johnathan) Condit, Moline. Granddaughters: Alana, Isabella, Evelena, Ayla, and Lucy. Grandsons: Brayden and Theodore, and his cat: Uggo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Michael and David, sister: Sandra, and his grandson: Joshua
