Judith (Krasnoff) Perlow, age 85, of Framingham, MA, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at Brookdale Cushing Park in Framingham after a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Morris “Mickey” Perlow.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Dr. James C. and Muriel (Dimond) Krasnoff, she resided in Seminole, Florida, for many years before moving to Framingham in 2019.
Judy was a graduate of Classical High School and Brown University. She earned her master’s degree in library science at URI and worked as a children’s librarian at the Pawtucket Public Library for many years. After moving to Florida in 1980, she held several positions at the University of Tampa.
Judy was a member of the American Association of University Women and the Brandeis University National Women’s Committee. She was a lover of Hershey’s chocolate, crossword puzzles and other word games, Rudolph Valentino, Bette Davis, classical music, curling up with a cat and a book, Monty Python, Barbara Kingsolver, old movies, Gilbert & Sullivan, going to the theater, Dunkin' Donuts, and puns.
She is survived by two daughters, Robin Perlow and her husband, Arnold “Arnie” Pollinger, of Holliston, MA, and Karen Perlow and her husband, Dale Place, of Somerville, MA; and two granddaughters, Rachel Pollinger (Ryan Davis) of Cambridge, MA, and Jinny Pollinger (Drew Petriello) of Los Angeles, CA. She was the sister of the late Nancy G. Krasnoff.
Her funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Planned Parenthood or the ACLU.
