Visitation will be held from 10:00am until 11:00am on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Southside Baptist Church in Jackson. The funeral service will follow visitation at 11:00am that day at the Church with Brother Jeff Parker officiating. A graveside service will take place at 2:00pm that day at Carpenter City Cemetery in Carpenter, MS.
She was born on October 28, 1926 to the late Moses Perry Turner and Viola Ferguson Turner in Pontotoc, MS. Mrs. Price served as an LPN for several years at Delta Medical Center in Greenville, MS. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Southside Baptist Church. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing and making dresses and quilts. Mrs. Price was also known for her mouth-watering cakes and pecan pies.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Price, Jr.; son, James Grady Price; brother Calvin Turner; niece, Patricia Agent, great-niece, Michelle Leist.
She is survived by her sister, Leona Campbell of Carrollton, MS; nephews, William D. Campbell (Debbie) of Brandon, MS and Tommy Turner of Avon, MS; niece, Juanita Bryant (Kevin) of Leland, MS; great-nephews, Chris Campbell (Eden), Brian Campbell, Jimmy Self (Stacy), and Will Turner; great-great-nephews, Gage Self and Grayson Self; great-great-nieces, Landyn Campbell and Heather Lashay; and many dear friends.
