Norvel received his degree in Vocal Performance from Morehead State University. He founded Atomic Blue, an a cappella musical group at Patrick AFB that has sung for hundreds of special occasions.
He was a renowned Sci Fi fan who loved Star Wars, Dr. Who, Neil Gaiman, and Terry Pratchett. Norvel was a friend and mentor to all who needed him.
Survivors include his wife, Alison Williams of Melbourne; daughters Robyn and Abigail, and son, Timothy of Cross Lanes, West Virginia; his father, Glen and brother, Glen Jr. of Owingsville, Kentucky. His mother, Malverie Ann, predeceased him.
A visitation gathering will be held on Friday, May 7th from 12:00pm to 1:30pm at Advent Lutheran Church, 7550 N Wickham Rd, Melbourne, FL 32940. Because of spatial constraints the memorial service will be held privately, by invitation only, following the visitation.
