Kevin was born in Clinton, Maryland on May 12, 1984 to Russell and Karen Marsh. He entered the world fast, and stayed at high speed throughout his life. He loved spicy foods, and always begged for 3 alarm chili from his high chair (this is because his mom ate spicy foods while pregnant).
As a kid, Kevin traveled to Alabama every summer with his family to visit with relatives. He loved fishing with his grandfather at Lake Martin, playing with his cousins, and wearing his socks no matter how close he was to the water. He continued going to Alabama regularly throughout his life to visit family, and help his grandparents and aunt with a to-do list fixing anything and everything.
He went to school in Charles County graduating from Mattawoman Middle School where he spent every summer at Chesapeake Bay Nature Camp in Nanjemoy; and then graduating from Westlake High School in 2002 where he was actively involved in Navy J.R.O.T.C. and the Explorers. He took classes at the College of Southern Maryland, and then decided to put his expert technical skills to use.
It is unclear if there is a type of equipment that Kevin does not know how to operate or fix. He gained these skills genetically via his grandfather, and father, but also through some sort of genius no one can explain.
Kevin was a mechanic, heavy machinery operator, welder, grader, and was very proud of his work in the elevator union IUEC Local 10.
Kevin is preceded in death by his grandparents James Tapager, Russell D. Kirk, Russell D. Marsh, Louise Tapager-Kirk, and Florence Marsh, uncle James Parris, aunt Charlotte Roth, uncle Mike Tapager, and cousin Charles Marsh.
Services will be held at Huntt Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to the charity of your choice, or donate your time to help someone in need as Kevin did throughout his life.
