He was born August 3, 1937, in Mason City, Illinois to Guy and Dora (Elmore) Shults.
He is survived by his ex-wife and dear friend Rose (Dickerson) Shults and their 3 children; Deana (Michael) Wagner of Round Lake Beach, Todd (Julie C) Shults of Peoria, and Karen (Tim F) Shults of Racine, Wisconsin; as well as six grandchildren, Alyssa, Courtney, Caitlin, Carly, Mia, and Mather; and 4 great-grandchildren; Rowan, Kennedy, Addison and Gavin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Guy Jr.; daughter, Regina; and grandson, Conor.
Clyde was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked as a commercial insulator and was a member of the Heat & Frost Local 17. His family would like to thank the loving staff of OSF Richard Owens Hospice Home for the comfort and care provided to Clyde and our family.
Clyde’s graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria with full military honors. His visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. also on Saturday at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Memorials may be made to OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
