Janie Kay Crenshaw, age 73, of Kemp, Texas. She went to her heavenly home on Friday, April 23, 2021. Kay was born March 8, 1948 in Tulare, California to Archie and Virginia Jordan both of whom preceded her in death along with her brother Archie Leo Jordan and nephew John Marvin Jordan.
Kay was proud of the fact that she was Cherokee and had great pride of her American Indian Heritage. She even volunteered at the Cherokee Nation Museum in Tahlequah, OK for some time. Kay was also nurse for many years and enjoyed taking care of others. As much as Kay loved to help others, her real passion was getting the privilege of taking care of, and completely spoiling, her precious grand and great grandchildren. Each of them had her wrapped around their fingers and the days spent with them were the best days to Kay. In her down time, she enjoyed working on her crossword puzzles and word searches. Kay was also an avid reader. Kay even enjoyed listening to country music. She will be truly missed.
Kay is survived by her two daughters, Virginia Rose Gilbert and Cherry Kay Oleson both of Gatesville, Texas; granddaughter, Masha Neal (Cory); great granddaughter, Ilana Ruth Neal; great grandsons; Seth Thomas Neal and Ezra Milton Neal all of El Paso, Texas; cousin, Claudia Cunningham of Kemp, Texas; sister-n-law, Rachel Jordan of Talequah, OK; two nieces, Tina Gillhooley and Sally Jordan along with a host of other beloved family and friends who will miss her dearly.
