Nancy Jean Pfleeger, age 68, of Carrollton, Texas passed away suddenly, due to natural causes on Friday, April 23, 2021. Nancy was born March 7, 1953 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to parents LeRoy and Mary Erwin.
Nancy's life took her to the profession of nursing where she attended the Coatsville School of Nursing in Pennsylvania. During her time in Pennsylvania, Nancy worked in the Intensive Care Unit. She later decided to become a traveling nurse and that's how she ended up in the Dallas area. Nancy worked as an ER nurse at Baylor Medical Center and Parkland Memorial Hospital. As she furthered along in her career, Nancy began working with patients in the Oncology department. Her oncology patients held a special place in her life. Nancy's greatest joy was having the ability to touch the lives of others. Many of her patients loved her and she loved them as well. Nancy was a dedicated nurse who demonstrated excellence throughout her lifelong contribution to the nursing profession.
Nancy was sensitive and worked with a very close knit group of colleagues, who were very nurturing to her. She loved Dr. McIntyre, Margaret, Lauren, and all the staff and patients at Presbyterian Campus Texas Oncology. Nancy's patients and colleagues were devastated to hear of her passing. Everyone meant the world to Nancy.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Gary Pfleeger. She is survived by her siblings Judy and Mike of Pennsylvania and Laura of New Hampshire; and many friends and neighbors who were dear to her.
Nancy loved and adored her dogs; so in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Dallas DogRRR-Rescue Rehab Reform an organization that helps rescue dogs in the SE area of Dallas or donation of your choice to an organization that helps those in need.
Due to COVID protocols, no services will be held.
