On Sunday, April 18, 2021, Pat Alvidrez Jr., loving husband and father of three daughters and one stepdaughter, passed away at the age of 73. Pat was born on June 25, 1947. He was a proud member of Ysleta del Sur Pueblo (Tigua Indians) and grew up in Ysleta. Pat loved to drive his Mustang, dance and ride his motorcycle during his younger years. Pat worked for the Ysleta Independent School District for many years before retiring and moving on to work at Speaking Rock Entertainment Center as a greeter & later a security guard. He loved his job at Speaking Rock because he enjoyed being around people and was known for his kindness, sense of humor and giving good advice. He was a hardworking man who gave much and asked for nothing in return. He instilled in his children and grandchildren to have pride in their Native American culture and heritage. Pat left a legacy of having a strong work ethic, treating others with respect, and the importance of family.
Pat is survived by his wife, Elia, his daughters, Debi, Maria Isabel, Julie (Pete), his stepdaughter, Vanessa (Sabina), his seven grandchildren, Maya, Julian, Anthony, Vincent, Savannah, Alan, and Katarina, as well as his sister, Irma (Andres). Pat was preceded in death by his father, Patrocinio Sr., his mother, Dolores, and his wife, Celia.
The visitation for Pat will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home located at 1060 N. Carolina. The rosary will be held at 3:30 pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at 10 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (Main Church) located at 131 S. Zaragoza. Interment Service to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
