"Anita" was born in the Canton/Edgewood area on December 9, 1923. She graduated from Edgewood High School, where she was the Homecoming Queen. She attended Dallas Commercial College. She then joined the Ice Capades as an ice skater where she went to Hollywood and then skated around the country, touring the United States by train. She met the father of her children, George Mundelein, while traveling. They were married in Tucson, Arizona May 31, 1943. He flew overseas in WWII in the Flying Tigers. After his 5th mission, he came home. They lived on Long Island, NY and had three daughters. He was killed in a car crash in 1962. Later Anita married Thomas Morgan Prytherich, VP of J.C. Pennys. They were married for 8 years when he passed away from heart failure. She married again to Willard E. Jones who worked for Gulf Oil. In 1964 she and her family moved to Clearwater Beach, Florida. Her daughters attended Clearwater High School, University of Gainesville and University of South Florida. She and her family loved their life in Clearwater, FL. Mr. Jones died in 1971. Juanita moved back to Texas where her family resided and she lived there for 37 years. She says, "You have to be a trooper and keep busy when you grow old and go through life with a stiff upper lip and that's that! Life is what you make of it. So do your best and enjoy life." Her tombstone reads, "Thank you for coming to my party." Her life is a celebration.
Anita is survived by her two daughters: Teri Genovese and Rhonda Todd, both of Florida; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Noah and Lula Eugene Reeves; daughter, Sandra Harding; and ten brothers and sisters.
