She was born on June 28th, 1948 to parents John and Florence (Kampf) Murton. Sarah made her home in Shalersville, OH where she lived most of her life. Sarah was a hard working woman who retired from Weatherchem in 2010 after 29 years where she worked as a machinist.
Sarah never had any children of her own but treated all of her nieces and nephews, as they were hers, especially Heather Mudery, who Sarah considered like her daughter and her great-nephew and niece Andrew and Harmoni. She enjoyed having cookouts and loved spending time with her family and traveling any time she could. If you asked Sarah, where she wanted to go eat, she always said Red Lobster. Sarah was a huge Steelers fan and loved watching them anytime she could. Her hobbies were bowling up until she was unable to do that anymore do to a knee injury and hitting the slot machines.
Sarah is survived by her siblings George (Mary Lou) Murton Oh, Elizabeth Bolster NY, Nancy (Steve) Howard GA, Madeline Duncan OR, Sally (Carl) Singleton OH. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Sarah was proceed in death by her parents, her niece Donna Mundell and siblings: Louis Murton, Walter (Murt) Murton, Mary Quigley, Florence (Tootie) Reynolds, Richard Murton, Mabel Murton, Jeanie Murton and Carl Murton who passed away just recently on April 24th, 2021.
Sarah was also proceeded in death by her life partner Rusty Singleton who she never got the chance to marry.
Friends will be received at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St, Ravenna, on Monday, May 3, 2021 from 11:00am until the 12:00pm funeral service. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville.
