Mary Brunson McCrory, a native of Talpa, Texas, and resident of Gonzales, Louisiana, was born on March 6, 1935 unto Samuel and Minerva Brunson. She departed this life on April 27, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Mary retired as a clerk from the Bank of Gonzales. Mary was a selfless person, always putting others before herself. She had a strong faith and was never afraid to share her faith in Jesus Christ with others. While we shed tears here on earth, she is rejoicing in heaven to finally be reunited with the love of her life, Gerald McCrory, Jr., as well as her parents, her in-laws, Gerald and Jessie McCrory, siblings, and infant child who predeceased her. Mary is survived by her children, Candaice M. Butler, Douglas O. McCrory (Rose), and Jessie M. LeBlanc (David); She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Ann Miller, Charles "Chuck" Butler, III, Kelli Butler, Rhett Butler, Misty Walls, Gerald "Bubba" McCrory, Jeremy McCrory, Trent LeBlanc and Amanda LeBlanc; Mary is survived by a host of great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Shirley Evans (Dan) and Gwen DeArmand (George). Pallbearers will be David LeBlanc, Jeremy McCrory, Trent LeBlanc, Chuck Butler, Rhett Butler, Bubba McCrory, Jesse Walls, and Cody Krumholt. Visitation will be on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Gonzales located at 1217 S. Burnside Avenue, Gonzales, Louisiana. Services by Pastor James Law will begin at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Hope Haven Cemetery in Prairieville, Louisiana. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Teri and Paulette of MedPass and Allison of Bridgeway Hospice for the compassion shown to Mary and her family during her final days.
