Marilyn received her education in the Detroit School System. Completing her high school diploma at St. David High School in 1954. Marilyn accepted Jesus Christ at a young age. She attended St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.
Marilyn later married Gemiel Worde on July 26 of 1958 whom they both shared a son together, Mark Worde. Marilyn was a strong, kind and dependable mother and wife.
Marilyn loved to garden. She was very active in her community, having countless community service awards. She was also the leader of the Team Block Club. Marilyn was the heart of Lemay. She lived her entire life on Lemay. She had an amazing sense of humor and was truly loved and respected by so many.
She enjoyed being a grandmother and being with her family and friends.
Marilyn was employed as a secretary, bookkeeper and typist throughout her years.
A blessed life came to a close on April 22, 2021 when Marilyn Rosalie Worde was called to her heavenly home. Her lasting wish was to say goodbye to her family. Marilyn always remained strong; no matter what she went through, she always checked on others despite what she may have been fighting.
Preceding Marilyn in death is her only son, Mark Worde; her mother Josephine Laranczak; her father William Lang; her brother John Lang; aunt Rosemary Saber; father-in-law George Worde and mother-in-law Angeline Worde. Marilyn leaves to cherish her pleasant memories to her husband Gemiel Worde; grandchildren Ashley, Brandon and Tristan; brother-in-law Camiel Worde; sister-in-law Beverly Lang; nephews Michael Lang, William Scott Lang and nieces Jackie Lang Sweets; great-nieces and nephews, lots of great-grandchildren as well as other relatives and close friends.
